About Us
The Women in Politics Foundation, Inc. (WIP) is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization committed to advancing political equality for women in Missouri and Kansas. Our mission is to create a steady stream of qualified, confident women who have the knowledge, resources, and support they need to run successful campaigns and serve in public office.
We believe a more representative democracy begins with more women at the table.

WIP supports and finances hands-on training, leadership development, and empowers women to step into leadership roles and engage in every level of the political process. Through hands-on training, leadership development, and community-building efforts, we prepare women to run for office—and win.
Our workshops and programs cover essential campaign skills including fundraising, platform development, public speaking, and volunteer engagement. By investing in women’s leadership, we are investing in stronger, more inclusive communities.

We envision a future where women hold at least 50% of national and statewide offices. To achieve this, WIP is building a growing family of funds dedicated to supporting political education, leadership training, and campaign readiness. Our long-term goal is to ensure every woman who wants to serve has access to the tools and support she needs to succeed.
